Top Ten…

Things I Often Neglect-April 2023

  1. Stretching. How is one supposed to stretch when there are exactly 7 minutes between the end of a run and a meeting? Seriously. How?
  2. Grocery shopping. I’m sorry, but now that I know about Instacart, I just can’t.
  3. Kick sets, stroke work, and flip turns. It’s important to know who you are. I am a triathlete. We don’t fly or flip and we should be concerned about saving our legs for what is coming.
  4. Wearing sunscreen. I have no excuse.
  5. Meal prep. I say the phrase, “non-dinner dinner,” and the people in my house get it. We are fine.
  6. My hair. With my 7 minutes, I can only do so much. I choose soap, lotion, clothes, and lip gloss.
  7. Learning bike maintenance. Every winter I utter blatant lies about how I am going to spend time in the bike shop learning all the things. Every. Winter.
  8. Getting the mail. I just don’t care. I’m quite shocked the mail carrier has never sent someone to make sure we are alive.
  9. Leftovers. Um, I made a meal. Let’s focus on that.
  10. Taking time to celebrate the wins. I should really do better here….maybe this winter?
